Why I'm Slow (Insert Joke Here) I'd like to post more, and perhaps even you wish I would post more, though I don't find it all that likely that you would. The reason I don't post much here is that almost everything I write takes me a long time to write, and an even longer time to edit. Which is sad, considering the finished product. The Crane piece, for example, took me days to write and edit, and I'm still not happy with it.

So to alleviate my anxiety about all of this, let me just announce that forthwith I reserve the right to edit any post at any time, any number of times. Perhaps the impulse to leave a given post alone will eventually subside, maybe even because it becomes good! But I doubt that that's why I'll finally leave it be.

Also, I reserve the right to ramble, with the understanding that I may in later posts focus, clarify, elaborate, cohere and/or contradict any thoughts/points/declamations/drunken shouting in the original post.

I realize that these points are all pretty much implicit in the idea of blogging itself, but I feel better for having declared them.  ¶ 18:07
